Aircraft
Aircraft window W1100 is the main interface where basic aircraft information is entered to update all the linked components for calculating the status of each item. Most of the information is basic
airframe information, but linking of components can also be done on this window.
This window is a convenient point to access the various other program sections, as it is possible to do component maintenance and updating from this window.
Usage
Aircraft used is recorded as it gives an opportunity to calculate average usage parameters for the aircraft. When new usage values are entered, the average usage is immediately calculated to
determine an estimate of when non calendar items on the schedule could be due. Average usage is calculated based on the period as defined in the configuration section of the program
Usage will only be added to the aircraft record if it matches the previous entries. This means that an entry with a later date can not have less hours, for example as an earlier entry. There can
also not be duplicate entries for any specific date. The latest set of usage data will automatically be set as the current aircraft values.
The average values will be calculated once a new usage is entered, users can however override the average values after it has been calculated. Calculated aircraft values will automatically be updated
to all components linked to the aircraft.
Usage is primarily recorded in Hours, Cycles and Landings of operation as linked to the airframe. Other usage values can be named by the user and can be used to record fuel consumption
etc. These fields are also use for usage load factors. Click here for an explanation. Definition of extra usage can be done on the Maintenance | Configuration window by selecting the Usage
tab.
