Calculation

Calculation the status of maintenance items is based on the data provided for each item. In order to predict maintenance scheduling into the future, it is important to have valid usage information entered into thedata base. The user can adjust the periods that will influence the various reports.

These periods have the following meaning

Show due items: The program will generate a report that will show all due items within this period.  The item might therefore not be due when the report is generated, but will be shown due if it is expected to be due withing the selected period.

Show warning items: When a schedule is generated, some major items can be marked to produce a warning even before they are due. This period will normally be longer than the period mentioned above. A major item or warning item might not be due as defined above, but will be shown on the report if it is expected to be due within the warning period.

Calculate usage: Usage frequencies might change on aircraft due to a number of reasons. The user can therefore select the period over which usage is calculated. If an aircraft has been used more frequent over the last month, than previously, it might be more accurate to select a shorter period for the usage calculation.

Please remember that all calculations are based on the data entered by the user. Please take great care to double check the data entered into the program.
