Aircraft
All components like the engine, prop and fuselage can be linked to the aircraft. Hours, cycles and usage are
recorded on the aircraft and transferred to the components.

Component
Components are the major components on an aircraft like engine, prop and fuselage. All these will have their
own maintenance schedule to keep track of maintenance items linked to the component
Usage
Aircraft usage are recorded by entering hours, cycles on a spcific date. These records are then used to
calculate an average monthly usage for the aircraft. Usage is used to predict future maintenance. Users can add additional fields to record items like fuel, oil
etc. for record purposes.

Item
Items are the specific maintenance tasks to be performed on the components. Each maintenance schedule is made up
of a number of items. These items can be based on life ie hours or cycles or they can be calender based. Maintenance instructions and part numbers can also be
linked to these items to serve as instructions sheet for maintenance to be done.

Schedule
A maintenance schedule must be prepaired for each type of component in the database. A schedule is a list of
items as described above.

Time brought forward
Service exchange components can be linked to a different aircraft. The life, hours and cycles will differ
from the aircraft. This field is then use to correct the different life on these components.
