2. Adding the aircraft
Aircraft W1100
File | Aircraft
Once the aircraft is added, the various building blocks as created on the previous page are linked together and the linking structure
will start to fall into place for new users. Create an aircraft, we will use B2-AHB in our example. Once the aircraft is created, you can
link the Aircraft model, Customer and applicable components. It is also important to enter the Zero Date value. This is typically the
aircraft manufacture date and will be used as a default install date on the schedules items. This zero date will be used when the
schedule items are created. It is also possible to set this date later to the selected component by selecting the button next to the
zero date field. Note that the button will not set a date earlier than an existing date that might be on the schedules. Any componet install date before the zero date will be corrected.
The model and customer entries are linked by selecting from the list box. The entries previously created will be available in
these list boxes. The components can be linked from the circle icon. Alternatively the link can also be completed from the component window selecting the applicable aircraft.
The next step is to add aircraft usage. The latest usage information will be used as the current aircraft information and be transferred
to the components linked to the aircraft. The value of regular usage entries are that this provide an accurate base for calculating
average aircraft usage values for hours, cycles and landings. These average values can then be used to predict when various
schedule items will be due on the components linked to the schedule and aircraft. To add the usage enter the fields as shown below and select the down arrow.
