Avdex Toolmanager

Avdex would like AMSIII users to take note that FAA has published two AD’S which highlight the necessity for stringent tool control.

FAA AD 2024-13-07 & 2024-14-01 issued against MHI RJ CL-600-2D15, -2D24 aircraft due to the finding of out of calibration torque wrench settings.

The over torque condition caused damage to the air driven generator (ADG) down lock cam nut in one instance and damage to the oxygen line fittings in another which could cause the fittings to leak.

This occurrence highlights the need to maintain strict control of calibrated tools.

AVDEX Toolmanager is an add on module to the AMSIII application which allows good quality control of an AMO tool store and an accurate trace of which aircraft and Work packs the tools were used.

We encourage all our clients to make use of the Toolmanager module to improve the quality control within an AMO.
