“Ricky” Goncalves

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of our long-time friend and client, Ricky Goncalves. I first got to know him at Lanseria while he was working for Patrick Hanley at Patcor. Ricky would often pop into Flightworks to ‘borrow’ our oxygen bottles. He was also a regular customer of Carl’s Coke selling round, selling Cokes and sweets to all the AME’s at various AMO’s. Ricky’s deep voice and jovial attitude was always a pleasant interlude to our days. Always ready with a bit of humour or news.

It was later when Avdex first began selling the AMS system that I found Ricky and Carol with the beginnings of their AMO at Grand Central, and it was always a pleasant hour or so to chit-chat and exchange news. Ricky and Carol were some of the first clients of the AMS system and have remained through all the subsequent versions, suggesting many of the functions that are now taken for granted in the application.

The Avdex staff will miss him. We offer our condolences and prayers for his family as they go through this difficult time.
